Mr.Maurer is in his second year at Madison County High School. Since arriving at MCHS, the band program has more than doubled in size, and has won many awards. Mr.Maurer teaches band and chorus at the high school, and is also responsible for the band programs at Central Middle School and Madison County Elementary School. Mr.Maurer received his bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky and his master's degree from Florida State.

Mr.Maurer started his career as the first band director at East Limestone High School in 1966. After receiving his master's degree, he became band director at West Morgan High School, where he had a 125 piece concert band and won many superior and best in class awards in both marching and concert band. He has also served as band director at Falkville, Danville, and Hazlewood schools. At Hazlewood, the band grew from only 8 members to 35 in just one year. Now settled in at MCHS, he feels the MCHS students are the best he has ever taught.



Ms.Campbell is the dance team sponser for the MCHS Band. She is in her fourth year at MCHS. She is responsible for the creating of the dance team in 2000 and has done an outstanding job. The dance team has won many awards, including best in class dance team in the 2001 Pride of Wildcat Country Marching Festival. Ms.Campbell also teaches Environmental Science, Earth and Space Science, Biology, and Speech and Drama. Her hard work is greatly appreciated.
